The Cap Jewel
(315) that
locks the balance pivot in the axial direction can be seen to the left in the
figure. It is sometimes called end-stone. The cap jewel is often part of
a shock-protection system. To the right is the Balance pivot jewel bearing
in its housing, the bearing hole diameter is
typically 0.1 mm.
